Elda - The Icelandic Way
Elda, meaning "to cook," is a restaurant concept developed for Keflavik Airport in collaboration with SSP Norway. The visual identity draws inspiration from Iceland’s unique contrasts: rugged landscapes paired with the warmth of hot springs and volcanic activity. This duality is reflected in the bold typography, earthy color palette, and raw textures, balanced with clean, modern design elements. The photography style emphasizes authenticity, showcasing unpolished yet captivating portraits and Icelandic scenery. Together, the name, visual identity, and communication strategy create a brand that feels distinctly Icelandic—grounded, warm, and unforgettable.
